Heat Pump Repair

Heat pump not heating, stuck in defrost or running nonstop? We'll track it down.

Heat pumps work year-round, so they wear harder than an air conditioner that only runs in summer. Common problems include reversing valves, defrost controls, refrigerant leaks, fan motors and backup heat that isn't kicking in.

We diagnose the problem, explain your options, and get the system heating and cooling again.

No heat or no cooling? We offer 24/7 emergency service. Call or text (606) 225-9922 any time, day or night.

We serve homes and businesses in Olive Hill and within 35 miles, including Grayson, Morehead, Ashland and Vanceburg.

Questions

Heat Pump Repair FAQ

Is it normal for my heat pump to steam or frost up?

Some frost in cold, damp weather is normal, and you'll see steam during defrost. Heavy ice that stays on the unit for hours means something isn't working right.

Why does my heat pump blow lukewarm air?

Heat pump air feels cooler than furnace air even when it's working, because it heats with a lower air temperature for longer. If the house isn't keeping up with the thermostat, that's when to call.
